AWARD

Statutes

    Eligibility
This diploma can be awarded to persons or companies based abroad, including the subsidiaries of Danish companies.

    Nomination
Any exporter of Danish products or services may nominate their customers abroad as possible recipients of the award. Representatives in other countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Danish Export Association may also nominate candidates.

Prior to consideration by the Jury, nominations received by the Danish Export Association from Danish manufacturers will be investigated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Danish representation in the country in question, and nominations received from Danish representations abroad will be investigated by the Danish Export Association through the Danish manufacturers of products and services who form the background for the nomination.

    The Jury
The decision on awarding the Diploma and Medal is made by a jury, consisting of His Royal Highness Prince Henrik, four representatives appointed by the Executive Committee of the Danish Export Association, and a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

His Royal Highness is the Chairman of the Jury and the Chairman of the Danish Export Association is the Deputy Chairman. In special instances, another member of the Executive Committee of the Danish Export Association can be authorised as Deputy Chairman. Decisions are made by unanimous agreement in the Jury, which meets as required (normally twice a year).

    Judging
In reaching its decision, the Jury shall consider whether achievement in promoting Danish products or services in the country concerned has been outstanding over a number of years, and results shall be judged with respect to both quantity and rate of increase. An unusual effort under special market conditions may also qualify the nominee for the award.

    The Award
The Diploma and Medal are awarded by His Royal Highness Prince Henrik in the country in which the recipient is based. The Danish ambassador in the country concerned or another person can be deputised to present the award on behalf of His Royal Highness.

The Diploma is signed by His Royal Highness the Prince Consort and the Chairman of the Danish Export Association, the Ambassador or Consul-General to the country concerned, or another person appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Recipients have the right to use the award symbol on their letterheads and in conjunction with their company logo, and in their work promoting Danish products and services.

The Jury can withdraw permission for the above if the criteria for the award have changed to a significant degree.

    Despatch
The Diploma and Medal are provided by the Danish Export Association. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is responsible for its despatch and handing over.

    Changes to the statutes
Changes to these statutes are subject to decision by the Executive Committee of the Danish Export Association at the behest of the Jury.

Adopted by the Board of Directors of the Danish Export Association, 28 April 2004.
